Products you’ll need:

  • 2 shades powder foundation or 2 shades liquid.
  • Your favorite sunscreen
  • Blush
  • Contour palette/ highlight palette/ shimmery shadow
  • Chapstick
  • Optional: setting powder or setting spray.

#1 Wash, Moisturize and Protect your face.

Starting off with a clean palate is always essential for makeup and It’s better for your skin. Ensure your moisturizer of choice is well suited to the oil levels of your skin, the more balanced the better as some sunscreens can be either drying or quite oily.

After cleansing your face, apply your preferred sunscreen generously to your face and neck (Don’t forget your ears!). If your sunscreen has an oilier finish take your time with even distribution to help keep your makeup application flawless.

#2 Apply your Foundation

Most people typically have 2 foundations shades, One for their summer shade, which is usually darker, and their winter shade, which is usually lighter. However, both foundations can be used all year round for the simple and subtle contouring. Apply the “summer shade” foundation on the perimeter of your face, just beneath your cheekbones, along with your jaw, under your chin, and along the sides of your nose (if you would normally contour there).

Take your lighter tone or “winter shade”  and apply it to your T-zone. To put this more simply apply the lighter shade in the shape of a giant lowercase “t” on your face. The midforehead being the top, then down the center of the spine, and the horizontal cross is your cheek area and underneath your eyes.

If you only have one shade of foundation, you can simply apply that shade on all areas of your face. you ca skip the contouring altogether or use a simple contour palette for.

#3 Give yourself some color.

Although not necessary, giving your cheeks a slight flush is always a good idea. Choose a blush that complements your skin tone and apply lightly. The addition of blush gives a really cute, fresh-faced feel.

#4 Highlight for maximum slayage.

Your face is cute and ready to go, but if you’re like me, you’ll want that extra glow as well. Lightly apply highlighter to your cheekbones, under brow arch, the tip of your nose and your Cupid’s bow.  You can use the highlighter in a contour palette, multi highlight palette or just a nice shimmery shadow (use what you already own!)

Pro tip: add a bit to the inner corners of your eyes to brighten them up!

#5 Add Your Finishing Touches

This is the time you can do your eyebrows, add mascara, and some chapstick/gloss/liquid lipstick if you please. If you don’t usually do this just skip it!

You can apply a setting spray, If you normally would use either of these products you can apply them now to make sure your looks last!

#6 SLAY (Mandatory)

Get out there and show the world how 3-10 minutes can race hearts, and turn heads!
