Christmas Gifts Alternatives

This Christmas I genuinely couldn’t think of anything I wanted aside from the Camera (that my dad  has graciously decided to buy me). Gifts are nice of course and  there is nothing wrong with wanting  a gift or two or three -really who’s counting?- But  when I sat and thought about it there was nothing I really wanted this Christmas. However, if you are like me with friends and family who still insist on getting you something for Christmas, here are some alternatives .

-Ask for donations to a charity of your choice

– Ask for quality time doing an activity you can both enjoy

-Ask friends to bring their  favorite dish: you can have a potluck and watch a Christmas movie – not only is this a good excuse to eat a lot but you can all get into the Christmas spirit together.

-Do a book swap of books that have changed your view on a certain topic, made you laugh or touched  you deeply

-Give a Christmas card with the top reasons why you love that person: sometimes this can mean a lot more than a gift.

Again, there is nothing wrong with buying a gift for someone, like a said gifts are awesome (Free stuff duh) but for those in your life who might not want a gift hopefully my list of  alternatives can help.

If you have any more alternatives you can comment and let me know

I love the idea of an “experience” gift – an activity you both enjoy. It’s thoughtful and gives something to look forward to. Thanks for the idea!

excellent was just thinking about what I actually want and to be honest it is not much. Alternatives could be DIY cookie or brownie mixes with a recipe.Baked goodies.A USB of favourite music
